Charles Wiley Obituary

SHAWSVILLE, MD Charles "Charlie" Fields Wiley, 77, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Md. He was the husband of Carlie Roselinda "Linda" (Beavers) Wiley. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Pastor Gerald T. Brown will officiate. Viewings will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be in Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery, White Hall, Md. Born February 22, 1935 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Malcolm F. and Dorothy A. (Almony) Wiley. Charlie was a graduate of Sparks High School class of 1953. He was a lifelong distinguished farmer and dairy farmer in Harford and Baltimore Counties. A former president of Madonna-Shawsville CO-OP for many years, he also was formerly on the Board of Directors for the Southern States CO-OP. Charlie enjoyed regular family trips to Lancaster and annual visits to Old Tyme Days in Fawn Grove in addition to AG Progress Days at Penn State University. His interests included, farming, working on International Farm Equipment and his grandchildren and family. In addition to his wife of 27 years, he is survived by a daughter, Wendy Ayres and her husband Donny of White Hall, Md.; six sons, Scott Bruno and his wife Dana of White Hall, Md., Mark Bruno of Owings Mills, Md., Mike Bruno of White Hall, Md., Daniel Bruno of White Hall, Md., Joshua Bruno and his wife Erin of White Hall, Md. and Phil Troyer of White Hall, Md.; ten grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Bruno, Haleigh and Austin Ayres, Michaela, Nate and Gabe Bruno, Nick and Sarah Lidie, and Taylor Fox; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Rogge; and a great-granddaughter, expected in April, Winter Bruno. He is also survived by Mark and Dean Almony who affectionately called him "Unk". In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to FFA, c/o North Harford High School, 211 Pylesville Road, Pylesville, MD 21132.
