Don worked in the textile industry for 24 years with Tioga Textiles and worked with Caterpiller Inc. as a Machine Operator for 25 years. He retired on January 1, 1997. The most devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Don married his late wife, Joyce Katherine Snyder in 1950, and is lovingly missed and remembered always by his son, Jeffrey, and grandson, Daniel. Don was a member of the York DeMolay Chapter and member of the Masonic White Rose Lodge No. 706 F&AM in York. Upon retiring to Masonic Village in March 2007, Don became a member of the Masonic Village High Twelve Club No. 629. He also met his loving companion of the past six years, Joan Baker, while living at Masonic Village. Don was active in a variety of sports and was an avid sports fan throughout his entire life participating in football (West End Hornets), fishing, softball, baseball, hunting, and golf.
