York Twp. - Eugene G. Howell, 55, of York Twp., passed away on Thursday January 3, 2019 at his residence.

He was the husband of Debra A. (Tyson) Howell. They were married 34 years.

Eugene was born in Lancaster on June 27, 1963. Son of Linda Howell Johnson of Louisiana and the late Willie Allen Bare.

He was self employed having owned Heather's Construction, G&B's Customs Motorcycles, and Enforcer Paintball and Military Surplus a division of H&H Merchandise.

As far as his occupation he loved working construction especially roofing because it was more peaceful up there and he had no fear. He loved children and they loved him. He decided to take-up the Paintball, Air-soft, Mini-bike, ATV, Dirt-bike, Go-cart, and Scooter repair and restoration business to give children the chance to have safe and economical access to equipment and safety gear that families may not otherwise be able to acquire. He repaired all brands of paintball equipment and all brands and types of motorized equipment from pocket rockets to cars, but his lifelong passion was rebuilding and restoring Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He also attended Bible College with hopes of entering the Youth Ministry.

The visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave.

The funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

In addition to his wife and mother, Eugene is survived by a maternal grandmother Iona Ledford, a daughter, Heather R. Rodriguez of Northeast, MD, stepfather, Walter Johnson of Louisiana.

Three brothers; Michael Leonard, Allen Bare, and Roy Bare. Two sisters; Angela Johnson Jones and Carol Bare. Three nephews; Mark and Matthew Jones and Jesse Leonard.

Many aunts, uncles , nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; David Bare and Ricky Bare.
