Floyd S. Stine

York - Floyd Samuel Stine, 97, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Manor Care Kingston Court. He was a devoted husband to Romaine L. (Elicker) Stine for 76 years.

Mr. Stine was born in East Berlin, Thursday, February 3, 1921, son of the late N. Walter and Minnie (Zeigler) Stine.

Floyd proudly served in the U.S. Army European Campaign during WWII. He served with honor, in the 1st Armored Division, 6th Infantry Battalion, receiving the Bronze Star in 1995.

He spent most of his life working in the electrical and mechanical maintenance departments at various places. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, York.

He leaves to cherish his memory; five daughters, Joyce Brown and her husband, Glenn of York, Carol Reinier and her husband, Norman of Dover, Bonita Lentz and her husband, Charles of W. Virginia, Linda Laughman and her husband, Robert of Dover, and Nancy Saltzgiven and her husband, Michael of E. Berlin. In addition, he leaves 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; six siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2018, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Ave., York. Officiating will be his pastor, Greg Wahlberg. There will be a viewing at the church, one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m.. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery.

At the family's request, please make memorial contributions in Floyd's honor to the Calvary Baptist Church, 2740 Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA 17408.
