York Township - Jacqueline F. "Jacquie" Sutton, age 90, of York Township, died at 11:26 AM Thursday, February 7, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Sutton.

Born June 4, 1928 in Bristol, a daughter of the late Willard and Dolle (Heintzman) Ferrell, she received a Bachelors degree in Music from Oberlin Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio. Mrs. Sutton worked as a Music Teacher for Red Lion Area School District and York City School District for 25 years, served as Choir Director at Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester for over 30 years, and as a Drama and Vocal Coach. During her 30 years in musical theatre, she was involved in productions at Northeastern High School, DreamWrights Center for Community Arts, Theatre Arts for Everyone (TAFE), and at the Belmont Theatre. Mrs. Sutton performed professionally at the Yorktowne Hotel, Outdoor Country Club, and later at the Handsome Cab. She was a member of the trio "Three's a Company" that played at small concerts and senior citizen homes in the area, and she finished second in the Miss Senior America Pageant Association at the age of 89. She was a member of the Woman's Club of York, the Garden Club of York, the Heritage Trust Foundation of York, Pennsylvania Retired Teacher's Association, and Christ Lutheran Church in Manchester and in Starview.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by a son, Gary D. Sutton, and his wife Deborah of Dover; a daughter, Robin L. Sutton of Spotsylvania, Virginia; a daughter-in-law, Victoria B. Sutton; six grandchildren, Suzanne Sutton, Christopher Becker, Abigail Spivey, Charles L. Sutton II, Scott Sutton, and Andrew Sutton; and four great grandchildren, Domenic Sutton, William Sutton, Niles Becker, and Owen Buser. She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian L. Sutton; two sisters, Connie Selsor and June Seigmund; and a brother, Joseph Ferrell.

Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Grace Fellowship, 1405 Seven Valleys Road, York, with Pastor Michael Anthony and Pastor Tom Almanza officiating. Visitation will be 1-3:00 PM Monday at William E. Little Funeral Homes, Inc., 60 South Main Street, Manchester, and 5:30-7:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont Theatre, 27 South Belmont Street, York, PA 17403 or to the Woman's Club of York Scholarship Fund, c/o Burma Welber, 377 North Forrest Street, York, PA 17404.
