McDonald THOMASVILLE Joseph F. McDonald, 60, passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, December 26, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Baird) McDonald. Joe was born in York, on January 28, 1952, and was the son of Patricia Doll and the late Joseph F. McDonald. He worked for FES in York for over 31 years and was currently employed at HCMS in York as a Millwright. He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle, but cherished the time he spent with his family. In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by his daughters, Melinda Schaeffer of Elizabethtown, and Stacey Blaydon and her husband, Steven of Dover; his son, Adam J. McDonald and his wife, Stephanie; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Robin Graybeal, Karol Heistand, Vickie Emig, Bonnie Rehmeyer, and Kimberly Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy McDonald, and sister, Caroline Schroeder. Following cremation, a memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Community Church, 3380 Fox Run Road, Dover 17315 with Pastor Buddy Graybeal officiating. Irwin-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service PC of Spring Grove is assisting the family with arrangements.
