Hanover - Pearl (Meckley) Stagemyer, age 87, of Hanover, formerly of Spring Grove, entered into God's eternal care on July, 6, 2018 from Utz Terrace in Hanover. She was the loving wife of the late Charles H. Stagemyer who passed away in 2011; with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

Pearl was born on November 28, 1930 in Manheim Township and was the daughter of the late Bertus and Lettie (Myers) Meckley. She graduated from Codorus Township High School in 1948 and also from Thompson's Business School. She worked at Spring Grove National Bank for 28 years as an Assistant Cashier. She was a member of the Springwood Chapel in York and served as treasurer for many years. She was active in her church and also taught Junior Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and especially making candy for family and friends. She also enjoyed crafts (making flowers).

Pearl is survived by one sister Jean Sprenkle and her husband David of Hanover; three brothers Burnell Meckley of Hanover, Donald Meckley and his wife Mary Lou of Hanover and Roger Meckley and his wife Jeanette of The Villages, FL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her five sisters Laura Rohrbaugh, Kathryn Flickinger, Arlene Wentz, Marguerite Nonemaker and Geraldine Klunk and three brothers Raymond, Leroy and Marvin Meckley.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Memorial service on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove with Pastors Edward J. Ross III and Dennis Fulk officiating. A Vistation with the family will be from 1-2 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Private burial will be at St. Jacob's Stone Church Cemetery in Glenville.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Utz Terrace Personal Care and the VNA of Hanover and Spring Grove Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they gave to Pearl throughout her illness.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Springwood Chapel. 2360 Springwood Rd., York PA 17402.
