LOCK HAVEN Ralph H. Eck, Jr., 84, formerly of York died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Susque-View Nursing and Rehab Center in Lock Haven. Ralph was born in York on March 23, 1930, the son of the late Ralph H. Eck, Sr. and Emma "Alverta" (Sipe) Eck. He was a retired English teacher with the Spring Grove School District. Ralph received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Millersville University. Ralph was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War where he served with the Air Force Band. He was a member of Union Lutheran Church. He was an accomplished artist for his own enjoyment and was quite the world traveler. He is survived by two nieces, Louanne Glasgow of Mill Hall and Londa Brown of Washburn, ME. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Joel Folkemer. A private burial will be in Paddletown Cemetery. A visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Union Lutheran Church 408 W. Market Street York, PA 17401; Susque-View Nursing Home 22 Cree Drive Lock Haven, PA 17745; or Southern Care Hospice 1544 E. 3rd Street, Williamsport, PA 17701. It has been an honor to discover your brilliant artwork and learn about your life from your dedicated niece Louanne. Rest in Peace, and know your work has deeply touched and inspired another artist, and I believe will continue inspire more for years to come. I only wish we could have met.

Mr.Eck, We had many cups of coffee together when I worked at Home Depot. I always looked forward to seeing you, we had some good conversations. I will miss you & your creative Christmas cards. Rest in peace, my fried.
