Violet A. (Brown) Wolf Obituary
Violet A. (Brown) Wolf

Wrightsville, PA - Violet A. (Brown) Wolf, 103 of Wrightsville, PA, died at her residence on September 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late Richard Jontz Wolf to whom she was married 61 years prior to his death in 1993.

Born January 31, 1915 in West York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira Alfred and Flora Ellen (Doll) Brown.

Violet was a graduate of West York High School where she was valedictorian for the Class of 1932. Prior to her marriage to Richard in 1942, she worked in the Accounting Department for the former Green's Dairy.

Violet was a member of Eastside Bible Church and her Lord and Savior was most important to her. She was a devoted prayer warrior for her family and others and never started eating a meal without bowing her head and thanking God for her food.

Violet spent her summers canning, as she and her late husband Richard grew almost all of their own foods and fruits and raised their own chickens and turkeys. She was affectionately known as Gram to all of the neighborhood kids and always made them candy apples for trick or treat. She loved them all, and although she is with Jesus now, she will be greatly missed!

Violet is survived by three daughters, Holly Wolf of Wrightsville, PA, Karen Groeller and her husband Joseph of Red Lion, PA and Brenda Winter and her husband Keith of Wrightsville, PA; seven grandchildren, Christina Lynn, J. Matthew, Lindsey, Brooke, Danielle, Bryce and Chad and five great grandchildren, Chase, Parker, Cole, Lydia Violet and Ava Marie. In addition to her husband and parents, Violet was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brown and two sisters, Muriel Rudacille and Helen Naylor.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at Eastside Bible Church, 1035 Adams Road, Wrightsville, PA with the Rev. Randy W. Panebaker officiating. There will be no viewing. The family will receive guests at a reception in the Fellowship Building following the service in the church. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Friends and guests should meet at the entrance to the cemetery by 12:50 p.m. on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastside Bible Church, 1035 Adams Road, Wrightsville, PA 17368.

Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St. York, PA 17403.
