YORK William G. Mock, Sr., 78, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at his residence. He was the husband of Charlyn D. (Ferguson) Mock. The Mock's observed their 54th wedding anniversary on August 22, 2013. Bill was born in Ryot, Bedford County, on September 25, 1935, a son of the late Glenn and Elaine (Mickle) Mock. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army. Bill retired as an application engineer with Donlee Technology. He also retired as a PIAA Baseball official. He was a 1953 graduate of Bedford High School. His memberships include Fourth United Methodist Church of York, Hawk Gunning Club, Zeredatha Lodge, 451 F&AM and York Forest #30 Tall Cedars of Lebanon. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by a son, William G. Mock, Jr. of York; two grandchildren, Lauren Russell and husband Eric, Ryan Andrew Mock both of York; a great grandson, Carter Eric Russell; a brother, Robert Mock and wife Shirley of Everett and a sister, Tammy Mock of Fishertown. A funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Mitchell Galloway. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 7:45 p.m. and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Masonic services provided by the Zederatha Lodge #451 F&AM will be 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Fourth United Methodist Church 20 N. Lehman St., York, PA 17403.
