C. Frank Biesecker Obituary
THOMASVILLE C. Frank Biesecker, 80, passed away on April 20, 2014, Easter Sunday, at home with his family by his side. For fifty years, he was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Kaley) Biesecker, who passed away in 2003. Frank was born in Thomasville on April 29, 1933, and was the son of the late N. Carrol and Ruth E. (Kottmyer) Biesecker. He attended West York High School in the Class of 1951. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He worked in his family business, J. F. Biesecker & Sons Flour and Feed Mills, Inc., all of his life and served as President of the Company for over 20 years. He was a longtime member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in West Manchester Township, a member of American Legion Post #14 in Hanover, a life endowment member of the NRA, a member of the Sunrise Hunt Club in Centre County, and a member and past-president of York and Adams County Game and Fish Association. He was also an avid Penn State football fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap and skeet shooting and cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his sons, Brian V. Biesecker and wife Kathleen of Finksburg Md., Lance A. Biesecker and wife Karen of Thomasville, and Richard L. Biesecker and wife Melissa of Etters; his daughter, Tamara L. Wildasin and husband Randy of Hanover; and his grandchildren Tyler, Frankie, Faith, Tonia, Claire, Kaitlyn, Luke, Megan and Joseph. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne C. Biesecker and wife Pauline of Ventura, Calif.; and his nieces and nephews. A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Road, York, with Pastors Sara and Paul Gausmann officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service next to his wife at St. Paul (Wolf's) Cemetery in West Manchester Township, with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewings will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irwin-Beck Fu neral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 175 N Main St., Spring Grove, and on Friday, 10 to 11 a.m. in the parlor at Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
