Dean Hinkle

Dover, PA - Dean R. Hinkle, 71, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018, at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Jacoby) Hinkle, with whom they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 5.

Mr. Hinkle was born in Hellam, January 24, 1947, son of the late William and Helen (Markley) Hinkle.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by Johnson Controls, retiring after 32 years. He worked as an EMS on the Trauma Team for 23 of those years. He was a member of York Church of Christ.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Craig R. Hinkle of Dover; three sisters, Gloria Hinkle Thomes of York, Patricia Poe and her husband, Louie of York, and Pamela Hinkle Morrison of Australia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hinkle Klemme,

Funeral service will be held 12 Noon, Friday, July 20, 2018, at the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh,) PA. Officiating will be his minister, Fred Nowell. Final resting place will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, with full military rite presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to Noon, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
