Dr. Ann L. Ramage
York - Dr. Ann L. Ramage, 64, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia. She was wife to Richard T. Berkoski, with whom she celebrated 34 years of marriage on May 26th. Dr. Ramage was born in York, December 7, 1953 the daughter of late George W. and Jane A. (Iobst) Ramage.
Ann graduated Valedictorian of West York High School, Class of 1971 and went on to study biology at Bucknell University, and medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania. Following her Family Medicine residency at York Hospital, Dr. Ramage worked first with York Health Corporation (now Family First Health) for 14 years before she moved to WellSpan Family Medicine - Bannister Street (formerly Yorktown Family Medicine). Dr. Ramage worked for WellSpan starting in 1998 and served as site director for much of her time there. Dr. Ramage remained a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, York.
In addition to her husband, Dr. Ramage is survived by her children Richard J. Berkoski, his wife, Amber, both of Boyertown and Alicia J. Berkoski, of Crofton. Dr. Ramage is survived by two grandchildren, Riley M. and Aiden G. Berkoski as well as a sister, Susan J. Porter, her husband G. Lee of S.C.; two nephews, Joel and Eric Porter; and a niece, Caitlin Porter. Dr. Ramage is also survived by a host of cousins from her Iobst family and lifelong friends, the Blasdell family.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, 17401. Officiating will be her pastor and friend, the Rev. Kevin Shively. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
