Richard C. Hamilton

York, Pennsylvania - Richard C. Hamilton, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Karen E. (McDonald) Hamilton who died October 27th.

Mr. Hamilton was born in Newton, NJ on August 23, 1942, son of the late Willard B. and Eulalia E. (Bale) Hamilton.

He retired from McCrory Stores, Division of McCrory Corp after 30 years of service, he was owner and operator of three computer businesses in the Hanover area until he completely retired in 2002.

Richard was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, York for over 40 years. He volunteered as treasurer and board member at the WELL Food Pantry of York. He enjoyed reading, traveling, computers and cooking.

Survivors include a sister, Brenda J. Choma and husband, Mike of FL; several nieces and nephews in FL, York and NJ areas. granddaughters, Ashley and Abigail Eyer of York. Preceded in death by a sister, Lori J. (Hamilton) Yuelling.

Memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the Calvary United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Michael Brossman, Pastor Tanya Brubaker, and Rev. Roland Garvin. There will be a visitation from noon to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Greenmount Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 11 N. Richland Ave., York, Pa 17404.
