DALLASTOWN Sgt. Christopher M. Wrinkle, 29, passed away while serving his country in Afghanistan alongside his multi-purpose canine, Tosca. Sgt. Wrinkle was born February 3, 1982, in Washington, D.C., the son of Joan (Runkle) Snyder and her husband, Kim of Stewartstown and Carl M. Wrinkle, Sr., of Middletown, Ohio. Sgt. Wrinkle was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Dallastown, where he was a member of the Choir, the Youth Group and Boy Scout Troop 43. He was a graduate of Dallastown High School class of 2001, where he was a member of the wrestling team. Chris also enjoyed playing the trumpet and guitar. Prior to joining the service Chris was employed at Jerry Food Market and Strevigs gas station. He was a member of the AMerican Legion Post #605, Dallastown. Chris enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp and completed his basic training at Paris Island, S.C. In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by a brother, Mike Wrinkle and wife, Palme-Marie and their daughter, Audrey of York; two sisters, Katherine Snyder and Karoline Snyder of Stewartstown; half sister, Becca Wrinkle of Jackson, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Clair and Phyllis Runkle of Dallastown; grandmother, Frances Snyder of Stewartstown; and aunts and uncles, Nancy and Rich Folcomer of Red Lion, Linda and Dan Latterman and their daughter, Terri of Dallastown, and Connie Lloyd of Stewartstown; and his fiance, Elizabeth Cunnings of Dallastown. Funeral service to celebrate Chris's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 126 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Pastor George Martin officiating. A visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Road, York, with full military honors.
