Gloria E. Terlazzo Obituary
YORK Gloria E. Terlazzo, 91, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014, at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late John Terlazzo, World Class Champion Weightlifter of the 1930's and 1940's. She survived her husband by 15 years. Gloria was born on March 11, 1922 in Windsor Park, a daughter of the late W. Paul and Minerva J. (Spangler) Ensminger. She was a fine artist in various media including oil paints, watercolors and pastels the York area. Anyone owning one of her paintings should consisder themselves fortunate indeed. Gloria was also- without question- a wholly committed, liberal, engaged and supportive Mother to her sons. She had worked at Lincolnway Flower Shop. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She participated in art shows at York Art Association, Penn State York, Christ Lutheran Church, York College, York Hospital, Martin Library, and the Brethren Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. 902 Mt. Rose Ave. with the Rev. Zenon Maszczyk, O.F.M. Cap officiating. The viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. She is survived b two sons, Richard P. Terlazzo husband of Gina and John J. Terlazzo, husband of Cindy, all of York; two grandchildren, Rosa E. Terlazzo wife of Jon Herrington, and Paolo M. Terlazzo husband of Carlleen Allison; a great-granddaughter, Nevia Allesandra Terlazzo; and a cousin and long time friend, Marian Plowman Roach. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church , 2935 Kingston Rd. York PA 17402.
