Born December 6, 1967, in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of Nicholas and Kathleen (Sokol) Rotondo of Bridgeport. In addition to her parents, Noelle was the loving wife of John E. Salus and a doting mother to her three children, Haley, Hanna and Haven Salus, all of Mechanicsburg. Noelle enjoyed a myriad of outdoor activities with her family including skiing, sailing, kayaking and hiking. She embraced all challenges and encouraged her children to always reach for the stars. Noelle was a loving mother of three beautiful girls, for whom she will be sorely missed. Noelle graduated from Ursinus College in 1989, after which she attended Philadelphia Osteopathic Medical School, graduating in 1994. She completed her internship at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in 1995; then completed her emergency medicine residency at York Hospital in 1998, where she served as chief resident. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, Noelle enjoyed a career as a physician and was passionately involved in medical student and resident education. She was actively involved in PaACEP in many capacities as well as contributing articles and lectures to various emergency medicine organizations. My heart goes out to the Rotondo and Salus families. Words cannot express how deeply I feel your sorrow. Noelle, Nadine and the entire Rotondo family have been part of my life in Upper Merion. I was privileged to have Noelle as an outstanding student both in eighth and eleventh English classes. Betty and Dick Salus were classmates of mine at Wilkes University. With the very deepest and heartfelt sympathy, Tearfully, Jean Shofranko Olexy, King of Prussia.

Few have had such a profound positive impact on many people and lives. Always a burst of energy and enthusiam, and a true kind and caring soul. There is an emptiness at York Hospital and at PaACEP. We will miss you!

Dr. Rotondo was an inspiration to me to say the least. After graduating from Ursinus and working with her in the ER as a tech, I decided to apply to medical school. While I considered the allopathic route, I chose PCOM because Noelle was a DO. She not only was a phenomenal doctor but she was also loved by all the staff and extremely well rounded/balanced in her personal life. I figured I couldn't go wrong if I followed in her footsteps! Today, as an ER physician, I still try to emulate Noelle's energy, smile, strength, respect and compassion for others so I can be a better doctor and human being.
Noelle, you are missed and loved but your memory will forever live on.

My sincerest condolences to her family. My heart breaks for you and pray you may find peace knowing she touched so many lives.
