Katherine Cox Obituary
ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Katherine Pittman Cox, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend of many people, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 17, 2017.
Katherine married James Edward Cox on Aug. 20, 1965, and they have one daughter, Cassie Cox Delaney. Kat was the proud grandmother of twins, James Cox Delaney and Joseph Horace Delaney IV, better known as Jim and Joe.
Katherine was the middle daughter of Margaret and Rufus Pittman, both now deceased.
Survivors are sisters, Pat Pittman Hanna (Dewey) and Ellen Pittman Watts (Dale); sisters-in-law, Harriet Cox and Beverly Larrabee, brother-in-law, Ansel Cox; nieces Jenni Larrabee, Yvonne Cox, Rachel Cox, Missy Biggs, Megan Wiggins, and nephews Karrie Larrabee, Johnnie Cox, Kent Watts, and Stewart McKelvey.
Katherine and Jim own Cox Insurance Agency, where they made many lifelong friends. They are members of First Presbyterian Church located at 904 Fayetteville Road in Rockingham, N.C. 28379, where her service will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Cox family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Cassie and Jim, I found out just recently about the passing of Kat. It totally threw me for a loop. I had no idea because I havent subscribed to the paper in quite some time. She was truly one of the finest women I have ever known.
