Timothy Edward Gleason Obituary
Timothy Edward Gleason It is with heavy and sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved father, grandpa, and brother; Timothy Edward Gleason, who was found deceased on June 9, 2018.

Tim was born in Tucson, Arizona on January 31, 1965. After moving to Yuma several years later, he attended St Francis of Assisi school and was a Yuma High Criminal graduating with the class of '83. As a young teen Tim enjoyed the volunteer work he did with his dad and grandpa Jim (Houlton) building donation boxes, riding along on the truck picking up donations, and working in the thrift store for the St Vincent de Paul Society. He worked several jobs over the span of his working life and made a career at the Arizona Department of Economic Security (how ironic) with his last department there being with the Developmentally Disabled, which he truly loved. His health and happiness steadily declined when he was forced to stop working for medical reasons about 9 years ago.

Tim's first love was probably his first car, a cherry red and white Ford Maverick, and later expanded to include his dirt bike, fishing trips with dad and friends, golf, the movie Caddy Shack, beer and classic rock. He was very funny with an off-beat sense of humor; and extremely generous, not only with money and material things, but with his time as well. For many years on any given Saturday, you could find Tim and his lawn mower out mowing random lawns as a favor to someone he thought could use the help. His first love was long forgotten after the birth of his 2 sons; Andrew, and later, Joshua. He was always very proud of his boys, but his biggest source of joy was most certainly his grandchildren; "Worm", "Fuzz", and "Squints".

Tim was an unpretentious, gentle, authentic, and genuinely good guy who did the best that he could.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, "Jack" and Clara Gleason, and James (Jim) and Evelyn Houlton; parents, Tom and Catherine (Kay) Gleason; and niece, Sarah Melton; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by sons, Andrew (Kathy) Almodova and Joshua Gleason; grandchildren, Anaiya Marie, Ariana Evelyn Rose, and Sabian Inez Almodova; sisters, Janet (Ron) Udart, Kathy (Bryan) Ashby, and Cece (Jodie) Sanders; along with nieces and nephews, J.T., Jennifer, Marcus, Elisa, Riley and Kaitlyn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

No services are planned at this time, a celebration of Tim's Life will be held at a later date.

Donations in Tim's name can be made to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: suicidepreventionlifeline.org/donate
