James H. Moore
SOUTH ZANESVILLE: James H. Moore, 83 of South Zanesville, formerly of New Concord died at 6:18pm Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice after a long illness.
He was born on November 3, 1929 in Muskingum County, OH the son of James Clovis Moore and Clara Marie Brock Moore.
Mr. Moore was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and retired as a warehouse supervisor from General Electric after 25 years of service. He enjoyed cattle farming, playing the piano, the guitar and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Carl) Tucker of New Concord, OH, Teresa (Mark) Burkett of Zanesville; grandchildren, Ryan Moyer, Jason (Misty) Moyer, and Brandon (Taryn Lawyer) Burkett; a great granddaughter Emily Moyer; several nieces & nephews.
James was preceded in death in addition to his parents; by his wife, Marjorie (Fowler) Moore; and his sister, Maryann Greiner.
Friends may call 2-4pm & 6-8pm Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home Chapel . Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Doug Winner officiating. Burial with Military Honors will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery , Military Rd., Zanesville OH 43701.
