Tyroan E. Bresett
CROOKSVILLE: Tyroan Eric "Ty" Bresett, 44, of Crooksville, was called home by Our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2013. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Crooksville.
He was born August 22, 1969 in Longmont, Colorado to Judi Thomas Dobbins.
A decorated retired war veteran, Ty was a proud U.S. Army Ranger who fearlessly jumped into Panama in what was the "last true combat jump" made by the U.S. He enjoyed sharing his adventures in parachuting, fast roping and Australian repelling. Ty loved to tell stories of his many adventures.A favorite story was of a jump in the Turkish countryside where he landed on a herd of cows. He volunteered to serve in security forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq. He often shared stories of his time spent at Ft. Hood, Ft. Benning, Ft. Bragg, Germany and Italy. He was a member of the Roseville American Legion Post #71, and Faith Center Church in Crooksville. Being a true people person, he loved making new friends working at Dollar General. His special talent was his amazing gift for numbers. His wife lovingly called him the "human calculator".
He will remembered by his loving wife of eighteen years, Kelly Jo Brown "Dragon Lady" Bresett; his mother, Judi Dobbins of Cannelville; his fur kids, Sonny and Benny; his parents by marriage, Wayne and Mary Jane Brown of Crooksville; sisters, Rachel (David) Johnson of Florida, Dee (Keith) Brown of Crooksville and Jessica Bresett of Texas; his brothers, Michael Bresett of Texas, Shawn, Doug and Jason Bresett of Oklahoma; his aunt, Sue Coronado; his sisters of the heart, Candi (Andy Apperson) Whitlatch and Teresa (Clyde) Garey. Ty was a loving husband, known for his smiles and orneriness. He was driven to make every day a blessing filled with love and memories that will be treasured by those he loved.
Ty's most joyful times were spent playing, laughing and mentoring his nieces and nephews, Leitisha "Trisha" (Kevin) Merritt, DeeJay (Josh) Johnson, Brittany (Austin) Humphrey, Delbert (Rochelle Moore) Alford, Keeley and Faith Brown, Dakota, Layne and Shelby Lynn Garey, Brad and Justin Whitlatch.
He mourned the loss of his brother, Paul Dobbins; his father, Donnie Payton; his step-father, Terry Dobbins, Sr.; his grandparents, Lillian and Walter Thomas, Faye and Benny Watts; special uncles, Tim Thomas and Mike Thomas; his aunt, Diana Blake and fur kids, Tikey and Oakley.
Friends and family will be received 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29th at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Final respects will be shared at the funeral and celebration of his life at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 30th at the funeral home with Pastor Peggy Watts officiating. Full military honors will herald this warrior to his final resting place in Crooksville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, consider giving to the Disabled Veterans of America or the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear about Tyroan. I remember him from Morgan High School. He was a very respectful, kind, and fun loving person. He stood out in school as someone who would make a difference for good...AND HE DID. May the presence and peace of The Comforter (The Holy Spirit)be with you in your times of grief. So sad to hear of your loss. My condolences. Ty must have been a cousin of mine as Donny Payton was a cousin of mine (Donny's parents, Fred and Etta Mae were my grand uncle and grand aunt). Ty sounds like a brave and likeable young man that I would have been proud to have known.
