Beth Ann and The Mattingly Family, my heartfelt sorrow in the loss of this wonderful man. He was like no other, in his love of faith & family, his gentle & kind spirit and his word was as good as GOLD! We purchased several pieces of furniture from him in 1975, among them was a sofa. Bill said, "that sofa was made by the Franklin Company, it is well built and will last you many years!" Well Bill, you were right, that sofa is 38 years old, has been recovered, but it still sits in my living room to this day! That's how much you could count on Hennebergs and the Mattinglys! May he join Nancy in eternal peace... Sincerely, Barb Gillespie

My memories of this special man seem to span my whole life. His stories of growing up with my Mother and Aunt, my mothers' stories of the Mattingly Farm. Then the memories of time spent on Fairmont are what you write books about. He was gentle, kind and loving and if he hadn't let us pay for our new sofa with monthly payments who knows when we could have afforded one.I wish I could be there to " squish" all of you, Ellen, Kelley, Andrea, Chip,Ceci,Angie, Beth, Emily,David and Joey. Love to you all and may all your happy memories always keep your parents close to you.Love, Martha and Bob Glass. Naples, FL

David and family, I'm so sad and sorry to hear of Bill's passing. What a sweet, kind and funny man he was. I still remember holding his tie up out of the water while he stuck his arm in a spa and was playing with the jets! He always had such a contagious smile. I guess he was ready to spend Valentine's Day with his Valentine. God bless you all.

Angie, Ceci and the entire Mattingly Family, I send my love and prayers to all of you during this difficult time. I have so many special memories of your family growing up. Bill and Nancy were always so nice, generous and thoughtful to what seemed like hundreds of teenagers going in and out of your house. Bill made life fun! The carpet car, the millions of family photos in the family room (he told me that he hung all the pictures so he wouldn't have to paint!). Bill was a GREAT man in so many ways. I wish I could physically be there with you this week, Angie. Just know I am with you in my thoughts and I am a phone call away. Love you!
