Dorothy Irene Hare

DRESDEN: Dorothy Irene Hare, 90, of Dresden, Ohio went home to be with her Lord Friday morning, February 15, 2013 at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville, leaving behind her loving family.

Born January 29, 1923 in Robinson, Illinois she was a daughter of the late Oran and Alice (Lawrence) Williams. Mrs. Hare was a life-long homemaker and she attended the Dresden Church of the Nazarene. Her greatest joy in life was her family and she often stated that she would not take a million dollars for her children. She also enjoyed music, singing, shopping trips and the beach.

Surviving are her children, Judy Davis of Dresden, Robert (Marlene) Hare of Frazeysburg, Oran (Rose) Hare of Leitchfield, Kentucky, Jesse (Mary) Hare of Frazeysburg, Alice Hendricks of Virginia, Debbie (Mike) Park of Nashport, Diane (Mark) Park of Adams Mills, Mary (Jason) Griffins of Adamsville and Jeff (Staci) Hare of Frazeysburg; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hare whom she married July 12, 1945 and who died August 17, 1979; a son Gary Hare; two granddaughters, April Smythe and Stephanie Schneider; three sisters, Jane, Ion and Margaret and three brothers, Curly, Oran and Floyd.

Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, February 18, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Churvalas officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
