William Green Obituary
SOMERSET: G. William "Bill" "Slick" Green, 63, of Somerset, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
Bill was born June 9, 1950 in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Francis W. and Pauline H. Green.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and had 20 years of service to Ducks Unlimited. Bill was the former owner of Green's True Value Hardware in Somerset, which had been a family business for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Elizabeth "Beth" (Baur) Green; his children, Lindsay R. Green, Natalie N. Green and Adam (Devin) Green; a brother, Patrick "Pat" (Mary) Green; a sister, Mary (Steve) Herendeen; his mother-in-law, Norma Baur; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Carl) Rettig, Patti (Todd) Duffett and Susie (Pete) Budka; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Ebert; and a sister-in-law, Maureen Bowne.
Friends may call from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Somerset with Father Stephen Carmody as celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Gene Dawson. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
