Jack Bannon starred on the TV series \u201cLou Grant.\u201d Jack Bannon, actor who starred on the TV series \u201cLou Grant\u201d, has died at the age of 77, according to The Spokesman-Review.Bannon played assistant city editor Art Donovan on the Emmy-winning TV series \u201cLou Grant\u201d from 1977 to 1982. \u201cLou Grant\u201d was a spinoff series of the popular sitcom \u201cMary Tyler Moore.\u201d The TV drama featured Ed Asner as the grumpy newspaper editor who relocates from Minneapolis to Los Angeles.Jack Bannon\u2019s parents were both actors. His father Jim Bannon starred as the Red Ryder in the last four \u201cRed Ryder\u201d movies. His mother Bea Benaderet was a fixture on television sitcoms in the 1950s and 1960s.
