William O'Cain Obituary

O'CAIN William R. O'Cain, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008. He was born January 26, 1920 in Lake City, Florida to his late parents, Mary Emma O'Cain and LeRoy O'Cain. He was a faithful member at the First Coast Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He worked 24 years with NAS and served his country in the US Army during WWII and in the Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Edna O'Cain. He is also survived by two daughters, Ellen O'Cain Brady of Champaign, Illinois and Glenda O'Cain Carroll of Harrisburg, NC; one son, Robert LeRoy O'Cain of Orange Park, Florida and 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice of NE Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida. The family will receive friends Monday, December 1, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hardage- Giddens Town and Country Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Aunt Edna,Robert,Glenda, Ellen,
I am so sorry about the passing of uncle Bill. He was one of a kind and I know he will be deeply missed. May the Lord carry you through this very hard time. Without him, I could have never made it. I love each one of you very much and will be praying for each of you.

I will miss my Tuesday visits with all of you, but especially, my history teacher. Because of him I will keep trying to learn something everyday. My sympathy to all of you, you will each miss him in a different way. Just share your memories and you will make it through. I will miss all of you, you have a place in my heart.
