Mrs Carole Jean Handbury of Danesmoor has passed away at Ashcroft Care Home, Hady, aged 77.
Born in Willsden, Middlesex and a resident of Danesmoor for 49 years, Carole was a book keeper until 1970 when she moved around with her husband who was in the Royal Navy, devoting her time to family.
She enjoyed watching television, playing games with grandson Jonathan on a laptop and spending time with family.
Carole leaves her husband Dennis Alan Handbury, son Robert, daughters Jeanette, Amy and Karen, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on November 11, 2025, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 12.50pm.
No flowers please, donations to be made to Ashgate Hospice.
