Mrs Edna Edge of Ashcroft Care Home, Lee Road, Hady has passed away aged 83.
Born on New Street, North Wingfield and a lifelong local resident, Edna was a shop and delivery girl at the old Co-op, North Wingfield, a barmaid at The White Hart and dinner lady at Deincourt, until her retirement in the mid 90s.
Her interests included gardening, socialising, all music, especially Andre Rieu's orchestra, most of all spending time with her family and days out to local towns.
Edna leaves her husband Mick, daughters Michelle, grandchildren Sophie and Anna.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, November 18, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 1.30pm.
