Mr Edwin 'Simon' Hitchon of Bakewell passed away at Brookholme Croft on Monday, September 8, aged 66.
Born in Bolton and resident locally for 24 years, he worked as a home surveyor for 20 years, and a pub manager for 15 years.
Edwin enjoyed rugby and cricket, and was interested in history, geography and reading.
He leaves behind his daughter Laura and her partner Ryan, grandchildren Teddy, Bobby and Lily, sister Becky, brother in law Jimmy and nieces Becca and Lexi.
The funeral service takes place on Friday, October 3, Chesterfield Crematorium at 3.10pm.
