Mr George Hopkinson of Newbold has passed away at Bank Close House, aged 87.
Born in New Whittington and a lifelong local resident, George was Works Manager at Whittington Engineering, then a Store Keeper for British Electrical Repairs Ltd.
His interests included classic motorbikes, old films and local history.
George leaves his wife Susan, son Paul, daughter Kay, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren Sophie-Lea and Casie-Leigh.
A private memorial was held for close family.
