Holme Hall
Mr Gerald Ashcroft of Holme Hall, Chesterfield has passed away at home, aged 91 years.
Born in Rotherham, Gerald lived in Two Dales (nr Matlock) as well as Matlock Bath.
After leaving the Merchant Navy, Gerald was employed at Bolsover Colliery, owned a car garage and latterly was a joint proprietor of a residential home.
In his spare time, Gerald enjoyed motorbikes, cars, caravanning, fishing and family barbecues at home.
Gerald leaves his wife Ann and daughter Beverley, son-in-law Nigel, along with grandchildren Alex and Sophie and great-grandson William.
Funeral service at St John's Church, Walton on Monday October 27, 2025 at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Boythorpe Cemetery.
