Mrs Hilda Bird of North Wingfield, Chesterfield has passed away at home, aged 83. Born in Hardwick Wood and a lifelong local resident, Hilda worked as Home Help for 20 years and was a loving mother and wife.
Her interests included spending time with her family, knitting and Hilda had a love for the Donkey Sanctuary.
Hilda leaves husband Enos Joseph Bird, sons Leslie Bird and Shaun Bird, grandchildren Persia Squires and Arwen Squires, also brother Richard Bargh, sister Phyllis Shaw and niece Anne Woodward.
The funeral service takes place on September 22, 2025, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 10.50am, followed by The Bluebell Pub, North Wingfield.

She was all the good you could ever ask for in a person, and was definitely the most stubborn! Best Nanar I could have ever asked for though and all the memories will be treasured dearly. Miss you lots xx
