Was saddened to learn of Richard's passing.I had corresponded with him over the years, and finally met him at the School reunion in 2004. He arraigned my meeting my first School friend, David Rumble, and escorted us around the new facilities. Richard's contributions to the Histories of Bedford and BMS are irreplaceable, and his soul and character live on as his legacy.
