So sad we missed the funeral as we were away. I´ve not stopped thinking about Tony since he passed away.
Tony was our trusted builder for many years. He became part of our family while he was working for us. So much so one very fond memory I have of him was when my girls who were 5 and 8 at the time were really playing up, I was struggling health wise and was getting upset. Tony noticed I was crying and came in and told the girls `that´s enough, stop messing about and go and play nicely´
It was like he stepped into grandad mode just for those few minutes to help me. I´ve always appreciated that especially at that moment. I love that he felt comfortable enough to do that for me.
I look round my house at all the work he´s done and smile to think about all the memories it brings. He always made me laugh so much!
The girls and I made him a mug with `best builder´ on it after he finished our house in Sandy with a picture of him on the front.
He was so proud of his son being in a play `The Osmonds´ he used to talk about it all the time when he was last here. I sent his sons old school all the information about it and got him to appear in the school newsletter and Facebook page as he was a previous student. Tony was very appreciative.
He used to talk to my husband and I about his wife and kids all the time.
He was always happy as long as I kept making tea and providing lots of biscuits !
Tony will be missed by my family very much and I´m sad I won´t ever get to see his smiling face at my door again.
Lots of love
