Wonderful friend and colleague. Served at RAF Halton together when he was a Flight Sergeant Chef and I was Personal Assistant to Station Commander. Played many hours of snooker together In Sgts Mess and was fantastic company. Our Irish heritage contributed to our close friendship. Have only recently found out about Liam's passing, such are the vagaries of Service life. Rest in peace Liam - "Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam" (May his soul be seated at God's right hand) . Deepest condolences. Morris Mc Gilligan Ex RAF WO now living in London.

Liam and I served at RAF Halton together. Spent very many enjoyable hours playing snooker together in Sgts' Mess. Our Irish heritage provided a particular bond between us. I am terribly sorry to learn of his passing after all this time, but such is the nature of Service life.
In fond remembrance, Morris Mc Gilligan (ex WO and PA to Stn Cdr at RAF Halton.

Much loved and missed. I know you're looking out for all of us. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. I only wish that distance had not prevented the opportunity to truly know you better. I'll bet you're attending one hell of a reunion.
Peace

Uncle Liam
No words could possibly express how deeply I loved and appreciated you in my life. Not a day has passed that I haven't missed you deeply.
Thank you so much for being such a wonderful Uncle/Friend/ Protector/Father Figure when I needed you the most.
I find some comfort in believing that you are with my dad (and all the Bourke boys) once again.
I'll never forget you Uncle Liam...
All my love,

Even from across the pond...
We heard plenty of stories about Liam from his niece Deidre. A spirit and character like that transcends borders.

Grandad.....
No words can describe how empty we all feel now that you are gone.
If only we had one last hug, one last kiss, one last moment to tell you we love you.
We miss you so much and Christmas will never be the same without you.
As always we will religiously toast to 'absent friends' on Christmas day in your honour.
You and dad are in my thoughts every day, and I feel so proud to call you my Grandad.
I Hope your RAF Shoes were up to your high standards ;-)
Love you always and forever
