Peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on 8th December 2025, John aged 93 years. The deeply loved and devoted husband of the late Margaret, most precious father of Karen, Suzanne, Colette and the late Bernard; also, a dear father-in-law, cherished grandad of Kate, Meghann and Erin; also, a very dear uncle and lovely friend who will be sadly missed. John's funeral service will take place on Friday, 19th December at St Mary's RC Church, Haslingden at 1.30pm followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery at 2.30pm. Family flowers only, donations if so desired are being received to The Stroke Association, Macmillan Cancer Support and Pendleside Hospice c/o and all inquiries Alderson & Horan Funeral Service, 128 Rossendale Road, Burnley, BB11 5DH.
