Michael John (Mick)
Peacefully at his home on 30th October 2013, and with his loving family by his side, Mick aged 62 years. The dearly loved husband of Christine, much loved dad of Julie and Craig, cherished grandad to Nathan, Lydia, Aiden, Niall, Ethan and Jacob, dearest brother of Tony; also a very special brother-in-law, uncle and great friend who will be sadly missed. At rest in the Alderson and Horan Funeral Home. Mick's funeral cortege will leave from his home on November 8th at 2pm for service and cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 2-20pm. No flowers by request please but donations are being requested in Mick's memory for Pendleside Hospice or MacMillan Cancer Support c/o and all inquiries to Alderson and Horan Funeral Service, 128 Rossendale Road, Burnley, BB11 2HT. Great father and friend
The good Lord always takes the best first and when he took you Mick he certainly knew what he was doing you was a special person that touched lots of hearts I will always remember the good times we had here in Australia and the last hug you gave me in England this year,I'm sure you will watch over your family and friends with lots of love in your heart a heart that will beat forever down here on earth,god bless you mate,RIP

A great uncle
A legend who will never be forgotton. You were more than an uncle to me. Me and Michelle both looked up to you dearly. You have left a big hole, life is so short and the best ones always get taken. I hope you knew how much we respected you. We will never forget the sacrifice you made to be at our wedding. RIP Uncle Mick x
