Peacefully at New Springfield Care Home on 9th February 2026, Rita aged 98 years. Beloved wife to the late Ivan. Much-loved mum to Michael and Nigel, cherished nana to Liz, Deb and Vic and a great grandma also, a dear friend and neighbour who will be sadly missed. At rest in the Alderson and Horan Funeral Home. Rita's funeral cortege will leave from her own home on Wednesday, 25th February at 2.50pm for cremation at Burnley Crematorium at 3.15pm followed by a memorial service at Padiham Road Methodist Church at 4pm. Family flowers only, donations are being received to Cancer Research UK, c/o and all inquiries to Alderson and Horan Funeral Service, 128 Rossendale Road, Burnley, BB11 5DH.
