Peacefully at her daughter's home on 3rd August 2025, with all her loving family by her side, Rita aged 87 years. Dearly beloved wife of the late Peter, most precious mum of Julie, Carole, Janet and Michelle, dearest mother-in-law of David and the late John, loved and adored grandma of Emma, Amy and Beth also, a beautiful and loved friend of many who will be greatly missed. At rest in the Alderson and Horan Funeral Home. Rita's funeral cortege will leave from her daughter's home on Tuesday, 19th August at 1.30pm for service at St John the Divine Church, Cliviger at 1.45pm followed by Committal at Burnley Crematorium at 3.15pm. Family flowers only, donations if so desired are being received to Pendleside Hospice and St John the Divine Church, c/o and all inquiries to Alderson and Horan Funeral Service, 128 Rossendale Road, Burnley, BB11 5DH.

Rita was a friend of my sister Barbara and her daughter Tina,that´s how I got to know Rita,we use to meet in town and have many chats also shade Christmas cards,Rita was a lovely lady,she will never be forgotten,sending lots of love to the family.
