Allan Heyd Obituary


HEYD, Allan Neil Passed away peacefully on October 11, 2005 at Cairnsmore Place, Duncan, BC. Predeceased by his wife Norma, brothers Earl, Roy, Ross and sister Gladys. Lovingly remembered by his sons Gerald (Carol) and Howard (Nita); grandchildren Diana, Daina, Bradley, Kelly, Darrick and Deanna; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother John; sisters Eunice, Hazel and Bernice. Allan was very active at loggers sports from the early 30's to the 50's. Allan was a North American Champion in various events. He was a Canadian bucking champion and runner-up to the world championship in 1937. Allan belonged to the Eagles, AOTS Club, Toastmasters and Duncan United Church. Special thanks to Drs. Sanders and McKenzie and the staff at Cairnsmore Place. Interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Duncan United Church, 246 Ingram Street, Duncan, BC.
