Jean FARMER Obituary

FARMER Jean (née McMahon) Passed away peacefully, aged 79 on November 16th at Warren Lodge, surrounded by her family and closest friends. Wayne, Gary and Melanie's mum will likely be most remembered as the Lakenheath Rod & Gun Club's Gamekeeper of 20 years. When the hunting programme closed down in 1998, Jean remained at the Lodge pursuing a career in care work, breeding West Highland terriers, tending the magnificent garden that she created, feeding the many song birds that she nurtured and shaking her fists at the fighter jets that roared overhead. Much loved Nana and Great Nana. Jean will be sadly missed by all of her family, friends and those who knew her. Funeral service to take place on Friday December 19th at 12.00 noon in the St Edmund's Chapel at West Suffolk Crematorium. Family flowers only please, but if desired, donations for Marie Curie may be made via www.markskinnerfunerals.org.uk or at the service.

Sending our sincere love and condolences to you Mel, Gary & Wayne.
What an absolute pleasure it was to be Jean's friend. We kept in touch on good ole Facebook. She always commented on our photos and would leave a kind message.
I would always comment on her beautiful garden.
I will remember Jean as a soft and caring soul, with the heart as strong as a lion.
Fly high with the angels Jean...your work earthside is done.
Much love to Mel, Gary & Wayne and your beautiful families.
Thinking of you all.
Love Lesley & Rob xxxx

Gone too soon. With hardly a whisper. One day she´s strong as an Ox as always and the next it seems she just wasn´t. To Wayne, Gary and my best friend Melanie, please know how very sorry I am for the loss of your lovely mum. Her legacy of inner STRENGTH and BRAVERY will live on within each of you and that´s a legacy to be proud of! You should all be very proud of your mum and her determination and strong will. It was impressive! And her loving kindness toward all living things was exceptional. She loved you three and all of your beautiful offspring so fully. How fortunate for all of you to be loved so fiercely by her! As you struggle in these days and the days ahead, please know that my thoughts abide with you and I´m sending you all so much love from afar. Love, Jacki Joy
