A service at St Mary's Church, Blidworth, preceded burial at the churchyard of Mrs Bessie Lilian Pieczka (83), of Cambridge Close, Rainworth.
Born at Kirkby and educated at Blidworth Junior School, life-long local resident Mrs Pieczka had lived at Blidworth for 21 years and at Rainworth for 35 years.
Before retirement in 1990 she had been an embroidery machinist, working for Bradalls and Regent Embroidery, both of Nottingham.
Her interests included playing bingo, holidays at Great Yarmouth and taking part in activities at Cambridge Road Community Centre with her neighbours.
Mrs Pieczka, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her two sons, Kevin and Bryan, daughter Susan, two grandchildren, Lydia and Dominic, and her sister, June Smith.

Floral tributes were from family and friends. Donations received in lieu were for St Mary's Church, Blidworth,.
The service was conducted by the Rev B. Allsop, and arrangements were by J. W. Hutchinson.
