Retired hairdresser Mrs
Carole Anne Milnes (69), of
Woodside Avenue, Mansfield,
was cremated at the
town's crematorium after a
service at the chapel.
Born at Victoria Street,
Mansfield and educated at
Moor Lane School and Sutton
Road Technical College, Mrs
Milnes was a life-long local
resident, owning hairdressing
shops on Garnon Street
and in Laydbrook Precinct
until her retirement.
She loved being with her
family and grandchildren, was an avid reader and crossword
solver and gardening and holidays both at home
and abroad were among her many interests.
Mrs Milnes, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton,
leaves her husband, Mr Barrie Milnes, son David and
grandchildren George, Jack and Harriet.
