D. TOON

Care home assistant Mr David Toon (53), of Garside Avenue, Sutton, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at St Andrew's Church, Skegby.
Skegby-born Mr Toon, who was educated at St Andrew's Infant and Junior schools and Hillocks Secondary School, Sutton, had lived first at Skegby and then at Sutton for about eight years.
He worked at Woodhalls Textiles and then had worked as a care assistant at Stoneyford Christian Care Home.
His interests included wildlife, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
Mr Toon, who died at his home, leaves his wife, Mrs Ruth Toon, son Robert, daughter Lynsey, step-sons Daniel and Scott Stones, one brother and five sisters.
