A SERVICE at St Luke's Church, Whaley Thorns, preceded burial at the village's cemetery of Mrs Edith Buels (100), of Hardwick Street, Langwith.Born and educated at Shirebrook, Mrs Buels was a resident of the area for 74 years.She worked at the Metal Box until leaving to have a family and her interests included bingo, gardening and watching television.Mrs Buels, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves her son, Barrie, daughter Wendy, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.Mourners were Mr and Mrs R.
