Frederick Flint

WARSOP Parish Church was filled with family and friends for the service which preceded cremation of Mr Frederick Flint (94) of Manor Road, Old Church Warsop. The bell ringers who attended the service rang a peel of bells in tribute to Fred after the service.Born at Warsop and educated at Hetts Lane and Sherwood Street schools, Mr Flint was a life-long resident of the area.He was transport manager and Company Director of Eastwood's (Warsop) and was employed there for approximately 55 years.A bell ringer at the local church since the age of 13, he also enjoyed walking, gliding, steam engines and was well known for his inventions.Mr Flint, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves a niece and four great-nieces.Mourners were Mrs M.
