Life-long local resident Mr James Henry Bray (63), of
Worcester Avenue, Mansfield Woodhouse, was buried at
the town's cemetery after a service at the nearby St
Edmund's Church.
Born at Sherwood Street, Mansfield Woodhouse, Mr
Bray was educated locally at Robin Hood and Yorke Street
schools.
He served with the Royal Horse Artillery for six years
after which he worked at Clipstone and Mansfield collieries
and then Clumber Builders. His final job was with
U.G.S. Builders' Merchants, Kirkby, from where he retired
due to ill health in March, 2008, after 17 years' service.
His main love was his family, especially his four grandchildren.
He also enjoyed touring with his wife, Lynn, in
their caravan, cycling, DIY, gardening, days out and walking
his dog, Gypsy.
Mr Bray, who died at his home, leaves his wife, Mrs Lynn
Bray, daughter Tylean, son Jason, son-in-law Andrew,
daughter-in-law Julie and four grandchildren - Emily,
Joshua, Joechim and Amouri.
