J. McMONIGLE

St Philip Neri's RC Church, Mansfield, was full with family and friends for the service which preceded burial at the town's cemetery of local resident Mr John McMonigle (77), of Marlborough Road. Born and educated at Donegal, Eire, Mr McMonigle had lived locally for 53 years, and had worked as a miner at Clipstone Colliery until his retirement. He enjoyed watching football and socialising at Mansfield's Green Dragon, Westfield and New Inn public houses. Mr McMonigle, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton, leaves his wife, Mrs Mary McMonigle, and his son, Martin. Mourners were Mrs M. McMonigle, Mr M. McMonigle, Mrs M. Mulligan, Mr M.
