MR KENNETH Arthur Warren (65), of Kingsway, Kirkby, was cremated at Mansfield after a service at the crematorium chapel.Born at Stanton Hill and educated at Healdswood then Quarrydale schools, Ken worked at E. Illingworth, first as an apprentice toolmaker and was promoted several times over the next 45 years.His interests included playing tenor horn for Teversal Colliery Band for many years, then later on he loved showing his Rottweilers.Mr Warren, who passed away at King's Mill Hospital, on 30th June, leaves his wife, Ann, son Scott and daughter-in-law Lisa, grandchildren Ryan and Lauryn, also representing Ethan and Rebekah, sister Rita and brother-in-law John, niece Deborah, Steve and Shane, niece Terri and Dave, great nieces Kaci-Mia and Amelia and nephew Neil and Annie.Mourners were Mrs K. Allsop; Mr W. Allsop (representing Mrs S. Allsop), Mr and Mrs A. Frith; Mr and Mrs T. Halfpenny (representing Mr and Mrs Allwood, Mr and Mrs Bradford), Mr and Mrs J. Humphey; Mr and Mrs G. Else (representing Mr Evans and family, Mrs Rogers and family), Mr J. Halfpenny, Mr A. Halfpenny, Mrs J. Roddy, Mr T. Hughs, Mr R. Ward, Mr M. and Mrs S. Morrell; Mr and Mrs Clifford (representing Mr D. Carter); Mrs S. Wharsby (representing Lowmoor Chemist), Mr N. Buxton, Mrs J. Roberts, Mr and Mrs D. I. Bingham, Mr K. Holmes, Mr M. Guest, Mr and Mrs D. Gaunt, Mr A. and Mrs D. Halfpenny, Mr P. Halfpenny, Mr R. Halfpenny; Mr J. Kelshall (representing Prodeck), Mr D. Marson, Miss A. Scattergood, Mr J. Dowshill, Mr A. Cook, Mr J. Floral tributes were from family and donations received in lieu of flowers were for the British Red Cross.The service was conducted by the Rev E. Ashby, and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons, Kirkby.
