L. Baguley Obituary

Mr Leonard Roy Baguley (90), of Lawn Park Care Home, Sutton, formerly of Short Street, Sutton, was buried in the town's cemetery after a service at St Mary's Church.Born at Fireman's Row, Sutton, and educated at Little Lane, Church Street,Sutton High, andHuthwaite Road schools, Sutton, he was a life-long resident of the area.He was a pharmacy technician for Boots from 1936 to 2001 and then worked for the firm part-time until his retirement at the age of 71.His interests included walking in Derbyshire, especially with his grandchildren, watching and playing cricket. He loved football and had a season ticket for Manchester United and loved to go to the East Coast and in later life enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.Mr Baguley, who died at his home, was pre-deceased by his wife,, Mrs Sylvia Baguley and leaves son John, four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Mourners were Mr J. and Mrs J. Baguley, Mr J. Baguley, Mr P. and Mrs S. Baguley, Mr M. Baguley, Miss C. Rose, Miss T. Baguley, Miss C. Baguley, Miss L. Baguley, Miss S. Baguley, Miss C. Baguley, Miss G. Baguley, Master K. Baguley, Miss M. Baguley, Master T. Baguley, Mr and Mrs B. Tanner, Mr J. and Mrs L. Lowe; Joeanne (representing Lawn Park Care Home). Floral tributes were from the above mourners.The service was conducted by Mrs S. Oscroft and arrangements were by K. Gregory & Sons.
